About us

A person and person posing for a pictureDescription automatically generatedWelcome to C3 Harlequin Pinschers & Miniature Pinschers. We are Billy and Lindsay Clark. We live in a small town in central Texas. We have been married for 28 years and have one amazing daughter. There has not been a time in our lives that we didn’t have animals in our home. From Coonhounds, Bulldogs, Schnauzers, and mixed breeds. But none of them grabbed our hearts like Min Pin.

The Miniature Pinscher & Harlequin Pinscher are very similar except for the coloring. Both are very inquisitive, loving, playful, and have high prey drives. The Harlequin Pinscher does tend to be a bit more vocal and quirky. They each have their own unique personalities. There will never be a dull moment with them around.

Why did we start breeding? We wanted to be apart of helping to restore this exquisite breed. (You can read about the Harlequin history under the breed tab). Placing a beautiful puppy with just the right family, experiencing their journey with them is a wonderful feeling. Watching that A black and brown dog standing on grassDescription automatically generatedpuppy grow over the years and being in a loving home, creating new friendships is worth every bit of endless cleaning, sleepless nights, and worries.

All of our breeding dogs are tested for genetic issues known to the breed.  This includes (but not limited to) MPS VI, PLL ,Cystinuria, Hyperuricosuria, IVDD, DM, DC, BHFD and CDA. This also ensures that our puppies are cleared as well through parentage. We all live under the same roof and have a large fenced backyard to run and play in. Everyone has their own kennel inside our home which is primarily used at supper time. Their doors are always open so they can come and A dog standing on a black backgroundDescription automatically generatedgo as they please.

We are very proud to be affiliated with The American Harlequin Miniature Pinscher Club (AHMPC). The AHMPC requires genetic testing and parental verification on all litters. This ensures healthy breedings and no questions about who the parents are. Even AKC doesn’t do that. The AHMPC is made up of A dog in a circle with a flag in the backgroundDescription automatically generatedboard members who discuss together how things should be done so that the outcome is the best for the breed.
