   Finally, since may 2022, I´m a proud owner of a real Harlequin Pinscher, our Phoenix from 3C Harlequins! A wonderful dog, smart,curious, spirited, funny, social and easy to handle. To be honest: she can be stubborn sometimes. Sure she has personality and is much more than a sweet little lapdog. Her appearance is exactly like the old german „Zwergpinscher“ (minpin): a delicate dog, small but not dwarfed and more robust than it looks.
   I´m addicted to dogs, specially pure breeds. I inherited the „dog breeders gen“ from my grandpa Tobias Ott, who breed German Shepherds. He sold his most beautiful dog, Katja von Blasienberg, to the USA 1936. I still own a picture of her, taken from her american owner. I´m beeding minpins, originally a german breed, since 2010, when I realized, that they are as ready to perform and spirited as German Shepherds, but more healthy than this many other breeds. I´m a vet, so that point is very important to me. My kennels name is „mostly harmless“, a quotation out of the book „Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxie“ from Douglas Adams.
   When I dealt with the breeds history, I learned, that there have been more colours in the pinscher breed than today, like solid black. „Merle“ or „harlequin“ occured twice, in the „Karlsbader“ and „Wiener Harlekinpinscher“. But unfortunately some colours didn´t survive and the modern german standard allows only red and black and tan. I started to search and learned, that american breeders brought back colours to the breed by intercrossing Prager Rattler 30 years ago. Today, the colours are still there, but the Rattler type, round head, strong stop, big round eyes an thin legs, is crossed out. I immediately wished to get one of these dogs, but it took me years (and a lot of money) to get my Phoenix, thanks to Lindsay Davis Clark, Janice Burns (Hilltop Acres) and my very good friend Tom from Arizona, who brought Phoenix over.
   Phoenix is a real minpin an fits in easily in my pack of „Zwergpinscher“, she has a very good social behaviour. Her looks are exactely like the old german minpin: long legs, delicate, pointed snout. The modern german minpin is somewhat heavier, more muscular, less stop, full cheeks and there is only one size allowed. So there is still work to do to get a standard minpin with more colour which may hopefully get the aknowledgement of the german kennel club.    C3 Harlequin Pinschers and Lindsay are absolutely incredible! Jim B is the Perfect pup, and I don’t say that lightly. We lost our boy min pin, Aeko, in December after 13 years. Our girl min pin, Seyo, is 14 now so it’s been a long time since we’ve had a puppy in the house. Never thought we’d love another pup as much, and are totally shocked by how intelligent, well behaved, totally house trained, doggie door trained, kennel trained, etc. etc. etc. he is. It’s unbelievable actually. He’s just over 4 months old, and you’d think we’ve been training him for years. Plus too, he’s such a good looking , healthy pup with the most unique personality ever! Lindsay kept in touch with us constantly throughout the process, and made the whole experience so memorable! We felt like we already knew Jim B by the time we brought him home:). Thank you, thank you, thank you Lindsay and C3 Harlequin Pinschers!

   Ripley was born on Christmas Day 2021 and is growing up so fast. Thank you for breeding such a beautiful girl and teaching her her name and all the other training you provided. We also appreciated all the goodies that arrived with her when we picked her up at the airport. She is so much fun and healthy as can be. Everyone that meets her thinks she is gorgeous, well that’s because she is haha. From the time we placed a deposit, to when we received her, it was all flawless.    I’ve love our little Harley, she keeps us on our toes right along with her brother and sister. She is a beautiful pup who attracts lots of attention when we take her out for socializing. She is perfectly healthy. We we’re also very happy about how smooth our purchase was and we are more then thankful for the help getting her and her adopted older brother home. Can’t go wrong with a pup from C3. I’m also thankful for the friendship I have built with Lindsay and Billy from C3 over the past year and a half. I will keep sending photos as she grows and throughout her life as long as I can.

    We couldn't have been more satisfied in the entire process of obtaining our new little morsel of love. From the initial contact and deposit to the numerous pics and videos sent to us during our waiting period, Lindsey was more than happy to ensure our baby was doing fine and making sure she stayed in communication. When our little pup was ready to come home, I was met at a location more than an hour and a half from the breeders home city to personally deliver her to us at no additional charge. Along with the pup we were gifted a care bag with enough treats and kibble to last us for a few weeks, a couple blankets, various chew and play toys, and a very professionally put together folder with information on the breed, the parents, vaccinating records, and registration papers. C3 WENT ABOVE AND BEYOND OUR EXPECTATIONS ! Thank you C3 and Lindsay from the bottom of our hearts ❤️

    If I could post a picture of my sweet little guy on here I would. C3 Harlequin Pinschers is the way to go. Throughout the whole process and wait until your puppies arrival you are in contact and receiving pictures and videos. My little Akua was well trained and was before he came to his forever home with me the way he already knew how to be so potty trained , house trained, noise trained and his love for car rides etc. blew my mind!! Now if you were thinking of getting your pup from C3 do it don’t even think twice run don’t walk . My Akua is the cutest most loving funny well behaved with some cute fiestiness min pin he is more then what I expected in the most amazing way possible from personality to his handsome appearance i absolutely love him and am forever grateful for C3 Harlequin pinschers as they dedicate time, patience , best effort and lots of love making sure your min pin is overly prepared for you and their forever homes ! I can go on and on because they truly are the best breeders. But again thank you from the bottom of my heart and Akua’s.
